Privacy Policy – Flamba Kids AI

Flamba Kids AI (“Flamba”, “we”, “our”, “the Application”) is designed for young users and their families. We are committed to protecting children’s privacy, limiting data collection, and ensuring a safe and transparent AI experience.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how it is protected, and what rights parents and children have. The Application is developed and operated by an individual developer under the name “Flamba”.
1. Age Group and Eligibility
Flamba Kids AI is designed for children aged 3 and older. We comply with child-privacy laws including:
- COPPA (United States)
- GDPR and GDPR-K (European Union)
- Australian Children’s Online Safety and Privacy Requirements
- Israel Privacy Law
- Apple App Store Kids Category Rules
- Google Play Families Policy
Age verification is performed by Apple or Google during account creation. The Application does not perform separate age checks or store parental consent certificates.
2. What Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum information required to operate the Application.
2.1 Profile Information (required for the service)
- Age (numeric)
- Country
- Optional: Gender (not required)
This information is collected under GDPR Article 6(1)(b) – performance of contract.
2.2 Parent Contact Information
- Parent’s email address — used only for account management and communication.
2.3 Technical and Device Information
- Device type and OS
- App version
- Non-identifiable analytics events
- Push notification token
2.4 What We Do Not Collect
We do NOT collect, store, or transmit:
- real names of children
- home addresses
- phone numbers
- chat messages
- photos (except Snap&See momentary processing)
- videos
- biometric identifiers
- advertising identifiers (IDFA, AAID)
- behavioral profiles
3. How Our Features Work (Technical Overview)
3.1 Text Chat (AI Conversation)
- Message is sent to flamba.app (secure backend)
- Backend enforces safety rules
- Message processed by AI provider
- Reply returned to the device
- Chat history stored ONLY locally on device
3.2 Voice Chat
- Short audio clip is recorded
- Securely uploaded to backend
- Transcribed → processed → returned as text + voice
- No audio is stored after processing
3.3 AI Image Generation
- Prompt is sent to backend
- Safe image is generated
- Returned to device
- Not stored unless saved locally
3.4 Snap&See (Vision Recognition)
- Photo is uploaded securely for processing
- Returned result describes the object
- Photos are NOT stored
3.5 Kids Activity (Top Queries)
- We store only keywords
- Used for educational statistics
- No personal identifiers included
3.6 Brain Buster of the Day
Operates fully on-device. No data transmitted.
3.7 Registration & Profile
Age, Country, Optional Gender — stored securely. Deletion is immediate.
3.8 Feedback Form
Feedback is securely stored and used only internally.
3.9 Subscriptions
Handled exclusively by Apple/Google. No payment data ever reaches Flamba.
4. AI Transparency
Flamba uses AI technologies for chat, voice, illustrations, and vision features.
We do NOT:
- profile children
- store prompts, audio, images, or chat histories
- use AI for decisions affecting rights or identity
5. Content Safety and Moderation
We use automated safety checks, rules, multi-layer filters, and human moderation (for Flambix Gallery).
Unsafe prompts are ignored or blocked. No autonomous decision-making occurs.
6. Flambix Gallery
- Images generated are digital assets owned by Flamba
- No personal data is included
- Images may appear in shared gallery
- Manually reviewed for safety
Deletion of Flambix Images
Parents may request deletion by providing approximate creation date. The image will be permanently removed.
7. Data Retention
7.1 Immediate Deletion
- All profile data erased immediately
- No backups or archives retained
- Analytics linked to profile deleted
- Chat, audio, and photos never stored by Flamba
7.2 Analytics Retention
Non-identifiable analytics data retained for 2 months.
8. Data Security
- Encrypted communication (HTTPS/TLS)
- Access controls
- Secure hosting
- Automated security alerts
- Regular reviews
Security monitoring is active but not real-time guaranteed.
9. Third-Party Service Providers (Categories)
We may use providers for:
- Cloud hosting
- Secure storage
- AI & audio processing
- Vision recognition
- Analytics
- Authentication
- Push notifications
- Payments
- Safety filtering & human moderation

10. International Data Transfers
Flamba is available globally (except iOS China). We use:
- Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC)
- Secure server-to-server communication
- Equivalent safeguards
Data is never sent directly from a child’s device to third parties — only through our backend.
11. Parental Rights
- Delete the child’s account
- Request deletion of Flambix images
- Access stored profile information
- Request correction of gender
12. Children’s Rights
- Delete their account
- Use the app without providing a name
- Access all age-appropriate features
Children cannot authorize payments or modify stored data.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. Parents will be notified of any material changes.
